Best pho around! We had the pho rare steak and pho rare steak & well done brisket Also ordered cucumber mint lemonade - delicious! Good service our fav place
When I first came in, I was lamenting how expensive Banh Mi has gotten. Like it's such a basic staple dish that typically just costs $5, but now it's not unusual to see it around $12+. And Pho Ever is not unique in this. But I was feeling banh mi and got the pork belly banh me anyway. Let me tell, you, this thing was not only delicious, but it was huge. Legit-ly two normal banh mi sandwiches. So at that price, the $12 is very worth it. Not only was it delicious, but it was soft and the pho dipping broth was so good on it's own, that it just elevated the banh mi to another level. Beyond that, the service was friendly and decor was clean. I really enjoyed this spot and will be back.
I ordered the rare steak pho lunch special. Yummy! The atmosphere was clean and vintage at the same time. They do a good job hiding the fact that they are near the freeway on ramp. The waitress was very nice and suggested certain dishes. I also got the drip over coffee with condensed milk. Very fun. Appetizer must haves: crab egg rolls friend tempura mushrooms
TLDR: Flavorful food and drinks, nice staff, quick service, cozy atmosphere, and surprisingly sizable parking lot After a long day of working outside, I was on the lookout for some healing broth. What better way to bring a day to a close than with a steaming bowl of pho? From a distance, the parking lot looks really small, but there are actually a lot of spaces in it! On the day I went, the lot was very full, but I managed to snag a spot in the back. The inside of the restaurant was pretty small, but there were a lot of small tables and a lot of people sitting inside. Our group was kind of big, so the staff had to combine several tables to seat everyone. I am thankful to them for trying to accommodate us instead of turning us away. I am also thankful for the couple of people who were kind enough to move seats so that we could use their table. The decor and lighting inside made the whole place feel very comfortable as well. I ordered Pho Tai Chin/Pho with rare steak and well-done brisket. I think the broth was so flavorful that it was borderline salty. I didn't need to add any hoisin or sriracha to the bowl, but I did put them in a side dish for dipping the meat. Overall, the food was delicious. I must admit that I've always liked rare steak more than brisket, but it was a fun change to have them both in my bowl! I ordered a Thai Tea with no ice before checking in on Yelp. When I checked in, I saw the offer to get a free Green Thai Tea and asked the server if I could replace remove the first order of Thai Tea to get this green one. He said yes, but then two drinks came out in the end. I decided to just pack up the regular one for tomorrow and drank the green one with my food. I am happy to report that they are both delicious! I felt a bit bad for coming an hour before closing, but all the food came out so quickly and we were finished at least 10 minutes before closing! I can't wait to come back and try more from this restaurant!
this place is a legit one! Not only the place is intimate, but it's very well taken care and clean. I came in with my family and they could accommodate small or big groups. The staff are very friendly and helpful but when I went there, they were a little understaffed so we had to ask for utensils couple times. The food are good. I got the mom's chicken rice, and I'm glad I ordered that. My expectation was it was going to be like a Hainan chicken rice, but it's a grilled chicken and it's so damn good.. you can taste the delicious chared and very very well seasoned meat. They are crab eggroll is awesome too. We wanted to try their fried mushroom but they didn't have it so that means we have to come back again!
This Pho Ever Vietnamese restaurant is located off 10 freeway and it is right on Hellman Ave. (It used to be Hanashima Japanese cuisine for many years). They are 2nd-gen Vietnamese family-owned & operated restaurant and they also have the Gardena location since 2009. We decided to try it for lunch yesterday. They renovated the restaurant with modern decor and removed all the old furniture. The ambiance was very welcoming and bright. I like that they had a dessert showcase facing the entrance. They also have cute and cozy outdoor seating with limited seats and tables. (I would like to have outdoor dining when the weather is good) It was so packed yesterday but we got our table immediately. The noise level was a little loud inside though. We noticed they had lunch specials every day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The lunch specials have a total of 6 choices to choose from L1 to L6 for $12.95 and that includes one veggie egg roll. Also, you can add an extra $3 for a drink with a meal. The drinks include hibiscus lemonade, green Thai tea, or cucumber mint lemonade. We ordered 3 lunch specials, L1 Pho Combo (Pho Dac Biet), L2 Pho Rare Steak, and L6 Pho Shrimp. We ordered hibiscus lemonade and cucumber mint lemonade and I also checked in Yelp and got a free green Thai tea drink. Also, we ordered crab egg roll ($12.95 for 4 rolls), and nem pork sausage spring rolls ($7.95 for 2 rolls or $ 12.95 for 4 rolls). The pho broth was on point and they gave us a lot of pho noodles. Pho Combo is Pho Dac Biet and it has rare steak, brisket, tripe, tendon & beef ball. My Pho rare steak were not rare but the meat was soft. My mom liked her Pho shrimp order and it had 8 shrimps inside and they tasted fresh. Veggie egg rolls tasted okay but they were crispy and it was included in the lunch special. My daughter liked the crab egg rolls and we liked that it also came with a lot of pickled carrots and daikons on the side of this dish. They had a lot of fresh claw crab meat inside. Nem pork sausage spring rolls were pretty tasty with House peanut sauce and they were addictive though. As for the drinks, we like them all! I personally like the Green Thai Tea and cucumber mint lemonade. Cucumber Mint lemonade was so refreshing and it wasn't too sweet. Hibiscus lemonade was also good and if you prefer more sweet then that's for you. Last but not least, dessert! They have a lot of dessert choices such as flan, cheesecake, and macarons. However, we did not have enough room so we just ordered the flan ($6.5 each). It looked so cute and it tasted like creme brulee. My daughters liked the flan so much. It was a satisfying and delicious Vietnamese lunch and we would try the other dish soon! P.S. I highly recommend the drinks and desserts! Tips: Check in Yelp for a free Green Thai Tea if you dine in and spend $20 or more.
What's up: Lunchtime! And we had a craving for pho. I've heard from fellow Yelpers that this place was delish and that they had a Lunch Special. Yummy and a deal? Let's go! Parking: They have a small lot up front that's shared with the shop next door. There are a handful of parking spots that reserved, so if the lot gets filled, there's street parking further down on Hellman Ave or try around the corner on S Stoneman Ave Environment: We arrived right before the lunchtime rush and were seated immediately. Staff members were friendly. The place was well lit with restrooms being located towards the left of the building, past the dividing door. We placed our orders and had a short wait before it arrived. Unfortunately, they forgot about our veggie egg rolls and we had to ask about them. Although it came late (after we finished our pho) they were crispy and hot. What was ordered: - Pho Combo Lunch Special (comes with veggie egg roll. Soup was tasty and the portion size was generous) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Despite our late egg rolls, the food was good. Staff members checked on us every so often and were polite. We were given candy as dessert and a coupon for a free drink on our next visit. Credit cards are accepted.
The location looks almost hidden! Right next to the 10 freeway across from the 76 gas station in that plaza with Gold Star Mart. Please be a defensive driver as you might see that others do not have proper driving etiquette. It might be hard entering the parking lot and park. The pho is average (good in my book though) but the drinks seem interesting! Oh and the desserts look flashy! I just find it convenient because it's one those spots that don't close too early. If you're a garlic chili paste lover like me make sure you ask them because they do not provide it on the table. There are these "lunch specials" 11AM-3PM $12.95 + veggie egg roll & $3 select drink Place looks almost always clean unless they're busy. Restrooms are almost always clean as well. Service! Most servers were really good when I first started coming here months ago but it seems like they have a new staff that seem a bit patronizing but can't complain because they brought out everything I requested & would still smile with good vibes! Please do not take offense! They are good people I think! :) Definitely will be back when other spots are closed! Maybe not always but pho ever! Hah! Thank you Adriano for your kindness and helping us out with everything! Thank you Tuan for your excellent hospitality skills.
Not gonna lie... this Vietnamese cafe serving up pho as well as some other small and special dishes came up on my radar because I saw some fellow Yelpers go to an event here. The food looked/ sounded amazing and it's not too far from where I'm working at the moment. The service here is friendly and the decor /vibe feels and looks like a modern Vietnamese restaurant or cafe. I was really tempted to order the pho here, but opted for the butterfly pea sticky rice (or Xoi Thap Cam) instead. From the pictures, the dish looked beautiful and it's something I haven't had at Vietnamese restaurants in a long time. Also, I think I've had pho a few times around that time...(it's been cold) I also ordered the Bluegrass Lemonade to wash it down. The sticky rice dish had lots of delicious flavors and textures from all the different items. Such a fun dish that's presented very well and a delicious alternative to what probably gets ordered most here (the pho). Don't get me wrong, I definitely want to come back to try their pho as well, but was so happy to try the dish that I ordered. Place is located in a tiny lot/strip mall that was pretty close to a freeway. They have their own parking, but it might get tight. I think there may be street parking close by.
Stepping into Pho Ever in Alhambra again was an absolute delight, and the entire experience deserves a detailed recount. The moment I entered, the aesthetically pleasing interior caught my attention, creating an inviting atmosphere. The staff further enhanced the experience with their warmth and friendliness, making me feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the pho. It's not an exaggeration to give it a perfect 10/10 rating. The bowl was brimming with good amount of meat, and the noodles were delightfully thick, adding a satisfying texture to every spoonful. What truly set it apart was the pure bone broth, infusing the soup with a rich and savory flavor that was nothing short of delicious. Moving on to the drink selection. Each drink was a revelation in taste, and I couldn't find a single one that didn't meet my expectations. The variety and quality of the drinks added another layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience. In summary, my visit to Pho Ever was a flawless 10/10 experience. From the inviting ambiance and friendly staff to the outstanding pho and delightful drinks, every aspect contributed to a memorable dining experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, and I highly commend Pho Ever for consistently delivering top-notch quality. Keep up the fantastic work! The only thing i would add is parking is tough at the small plaza shared parking lot, and there is some that is saved for the liquor store, so my best recommendation is park a street behind the shop and then go. I would come back again!
